The BPA – “Seattle” – Song of the Week Vol 1
The BPA – “Seattle (Radio Edit)” Listen Here
Having heard this song a couple of times on KEXP.org’s broadcasting collaboration with 91.7 FM in NYC, I am very intrigued. The Brighton Port Authority (BPA) is a project of UK DJ Norman Cook’s, aka Fatboy Slim. Featuring the vocals of Emmy the Great, “Seattle” is incredibly catchy. The chorus “See sky falling…new day dawning every single day in America.” is sing-a-longĀ good. The track has been remixed as well but of the two versions I have heard, neither seem as great.
Apparently the album, I Think We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat, is already available on Amazon.com but will officially be released on February 3rd on Cook’s on Southern Fried Records label.
