Pearl Jam – MSG II 25th June 2008
Well I dont really have it in me to write a “review” of this show per se but write my own opinion of it.
The 2nd night had tremendous energy, some crowd favorites and rarities and it had its special guests (CJ Ramone and Ace Frehley). However, after the first night at MSG, the second night was not able to top it and had too much similar in the setlist (11 of the 30 songs were the same). If I had only gone to one of the shows, I would have chosen the first, but the second did no wrong.
I did think at first Pearl Jam would be playing more newer songs because they played 3 off of their last album early on. But they didn’t. As it was my last show of this tour I was a little disappointed. And not to mention that no one went with me and the person I sold my extra 10C ticket to chose to sit with his friends in a worse seat leaving me with empty space next to me and that I waited an hour and a half to get a show poster which I was not able to since they sold out. At the end I stuck around thinking I might be able to get a leftover poster even and didnt. Ah well.
I am happy with my Camden I poster however and look forward to possibly seeing Eddie Vedders solo tour at the end of summer/early autumn, as the rumours have it.
